New Hampshire Area Codes

New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the country and is home to over 1.3 million people. It was one of the original states that founded U.S.A. and the 9th to ratify the constitution, which brought it into effect. The northern areas of the state feature the White Mountains range while the southern areas are flatter. New Hampshire has the shortest ocean coastline of any state.

There is currently only one New Hampshire area code. In 1947, area code 603 was established as one of the country’s initial 86. It covers 10 counties and includes prominent cities such as Manchester, Nashua, Dover and Concord, the state capital. Number pooling, a method of reallocating phone numbers is high growth areas, has helped the state maintain just one area code. It is not expected to be exhausted until 2025.
